NEET Exam Paper Leak Sparks Outrage Among Candidates, Calls for Government Action

Jodhpur, May 15: Candidates are expressing their frustration over the ongoing incidents of paper leaks in the NEET exam. Students emphasize that they invest years of hard work and their families’ dreams into preparing for this exam. However, incidents like paper leaks jeopardize their futures. They are urging the government to take strict action in this matter.

One candidate shared that they performed well in the last NEET exam and were hopeful for a good score. Unfortunately, the news of the paper leak overshadowed their efforts. They accused certain coaching institutes of being involved in these leaks, particularly naming several from Sikar, and demanded a thorough investigation and stringent measures to protect the futures of diligent students.

Another candidate expressed confidence in their preparation but admitted to a lingering fear of another potential leak. They noted that if such an event were to occur again, it would create significant challenges for students. They highlighted that a re-examination would disrupt students’ time, finances, and mental well-being. Therefore, they urged the government to implement robust measures to prevent such incidents.

A different student pointed out that paper leak incidents have been recurring for years, yet the government has not taken effective steps in a timely manner. They mentioned that their family’s dream is for them to become a doctor, but systemic flaws are putting their future at risk. Many students travel from remote areas to cities like Kota to study under challenging conditions. A single mistake can ruin the hard work of countless students. They have called on the government to ensure that this year’s exam is conducted with complete transparency and security.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the NEET (UG) 2026 exam will be rescheduled, with a new date set for June 21. This decision was made following approval from the Government of India.

This announcement has provided some relief to over 2.2 million students who have been in a state of uncertainty. The NTA has clearly urged students and parents to rely solely on official information and to avoid any rumors. To facilitate this, the agency has released its official website and contact numbers to prevent the spread of misinformation.
