Nationwide Protests Erupt Against President Trumps Policies

Washington, March 29: Protests against President Donald Trump’s immigration and foreign policies are intensifying across the United States. Thousands have united under the banner of ‘No Kings’ to express their discontent with the administration’s actions.

Organizers reported that these protests are part of a coordinated national campaign, featuring over 3,000 events nationwide. The largest rally took place at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, where an estimated 200,000 people gathered.

Demonstrators marched, chanted slogans, and waved banners criticizing the Trump administration. Their primary focus was on the administration’s strict immigration enforcement and its role in ongoing tensions with Iran. In many cities, protesters lined major streets, while others gathered at public intersections, chanting and displaying signs.

The rally in St. Paul was the day’s most significant event, featuring several prominent politicians and cultural figures. Governor Tim Walz addressed the crowd and introduced singer Bruce Springsteen, who performed a song for the attendees. Other notable figures included Senator Bernie Sanders, Joan Baez, Maggie Rogers, and Jane Fonda, all of whom participated in the protests.

Thousands of protesters also gathered in major cities like New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco. They marched through key areas and held rallies outside government buildings.

The demonstrators voiced various demands, including opposition to immigration policies, economic issues, and broad criticism of the administration.

In Los Angeles, hundreds gathered outside City Hall before marching through the streets. In Houston, protesters carried a large replica of the U.S. Constitution through the city’s main area, symbolizing a defense of democratic values. Some protests included cultural performances, speeches, and symbolic acts like carrying a replica of the Constitution.

Representative John Larson stated, “We are gathered here today to say that there are no kings in America.” He warned against the abuse of power by the administration, adding, “If we, the common people, stay united and raise our voices, we cannot be defeated.”

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand emphasized that Americans do not bow to any king. She remarked, “Our president should focus on lowering grocery prices, making healthcare affordable, and ensuring every family can thrive, rather than using his position to boost his personal brand. It is time to enforce this principle and ensure our government serves the people, not one individual’s ego.”

Senator Bernie Sanders declared, “Our message in 2026 is clear: no more kings. We will not allow this country to descend into tyranny. In America, the people will govern.”
