Mumbai Film Shoot Manager Faces Legal Action for Overrunning Schedule

Mumbai, May 27: The DB Marg police station in Mumbai has registered a case against a manager of a film production company for allegedly exceeding the permitted shooting hours at a BMC school premises in South Mumbai.

The complaint was filed by a police constable, stating that the production company was granted permission to shoot only until a specific time, but continued filming beyond that limit. Following the complaint, the police issued a notice to the accused and later released him.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on the night of May 24, between 11:30 PM and 11:55 PM, at a BMC school located on Gilder Tank Lane in Grant Road (East). The production company was permitted to shoot only until a designated time, yet filming continued past the allowed hours.

Mumbai police confirmed that the case was registered under Section 223 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) based on the complaint from Constable Vrishak Ramakant Wagh (43). The accused has been identified as Wahid Abdul Kader Sheikh (33), a manager at Panorama Studios International Limited, residing in the Goregaon area.

Authorities further stated that the shooting violated the terms and conditions granted to the production company. After the case was filed, the accused received a notice and was subsequently released.
