MP Transfers ₹200 Crore to Soybean Farmers Under Bhavantar Scheme

The Madhya Pradesh government has taken a significant step to ensure fair prices for soybean farmers by implementing the Bhavantar scheme. In a ceremony held at Malhargarh, Mandsaur, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav transferred ₹200 crore to the bank accounts of 1.17 lakh soybean farmers under this initiative.

Along with direct bank transfers, some farmers were also handed over cheques during the event. The Bhavantar scheme compensates soybean producers for the difference between the government’s support price and the model rate. Payments are released in multiple phases, with the fourth instalment disbursed on Thursday.

Chief Minister Yadav handed over the fourth instalment to farmers who sold their soybean produce between 20 December 2025 and the scheme’s closing date. So far, approximately 7.1 lakh farmers across the state have received a total of ₹1,492 crore under this scheme.

During the event, the Chief Minister presented cheques to individual farmers including Raghuvir Singh Rajput (₹95,260), Mukesh Patidar (₹73,699), Omkar Singh (₹64,105), Ramdayal Patidar (₹59,257), and Jagdish Chandra Patidar (₹58,522).

In a related gesture, CM Mohan Yadav issued a compassionate appointment letter to Sanjay Singh, son of Manohar Singh, who had risked his life to save four people trapped in a car that fell into a well. Sanjay Singh has been appointed as a police constable in recognition of his father’s bravery.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated development projects worth ₹69.50 crore aimed at improving local infrastructure. These include the foundation stone laying of a four-lane flyover on the Mandsaur-Neemuch State Highway in Malhargarh with an estimated cost of ₹51.91 crore, a railway underbridge at Pipliya Mandi Sampar costing ₹5.53 crore, and the inauguration of a bridge construction on Malhargarh railway station road costing ₹2.06 crore. These projects are expected to enhance traffic flow and provide better connectivity for residents.
