The Railway Minister emphasized the necessity of modern skill development and capacity building. This is crucial for preparing station masters to handle the increasing complexities of railway operations and emergency situations more effectively.

The meeting also addressed the implementation of a mobile app-based paperless working system and an integrated station management system for station masters.

These initiatives aim to establish better coordination among various departments and ensure swift resolution of passenger-related issues.

Proposals were also discussed regarding granting station masters greater administrative and operational authority, providing better career development opportunities, and increasing their chances of reaching higher management positions.

According to the Ministry of Railways, these measures will aid station masters in making quick decisions, delivering better services to passengers, and effectively monitoring station infrastructure, employee offices, railway colonies, and other related facilities.

The meeting also covered various challenges and issues faced by station masters. They play a crucial role in ensuring safe train operations, coordinating with different departments, managing passenger amenities, and ensuring the smooth operation of railway stations.

The primary aim of the discussion was to create a more inspiring and growth-oriented work environment for employees in this vital operational category.

The Railway Minister reviewed the need for additional station masters in multi-line and high-traffic railway sections, where traffic and operational complexities have significantly increased.
