Minister Sarang Defends Indian Culture Amid Rahul Gandhis BRICS Menu Critique

Bhopal, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Minister Vishwas Sarang of Madhya Pradesh has responded sharply to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks regarding the dinner menu at the recent BRICS summit. Sarang stated that while the world has embraced India’s culture, Gandhi appears to be uncomfortable with this acceptance.

In an interview in Bhopal, Sarang expressed his surprise over Gandhi’s maturity as the leader of the opposition in the world’s largest democracy. He emphasized the need to rise above party politics during international events. Instead of focusing on the menu, Sarang believes Gandhi should have addressed the significant discussions and India’s role at the BRICS summit.

Sarang questioned who advises Gandhi, suggesting that he struggles to achieve political maturity. He asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has gained global recognition. The BRICS nations play a vital role in the global economy, and Modi’s contributions were highly regarded during the summit.

Using yoga as an example, Sarang noted that Modi’s initiatives have led to widespread acceptance of yoga worldwide. He also referred to the positive reception of vegetarian meals at the summit, highlighting the respect for Indian culture and cuisine. Sarang pointed out that even in predominantly Muslim countries like Abu Dhabi, temples are being built, indicating a growing acceptance of Indian culture.

He accused Gandhi of failing to acknowledge these positive changes, claiming that his political bias clouds his perspective. Sarang described Gandhi’s comments on the menu as inappropriate and unfortunate.

Central Minister Giriraj Singh supported Sarang’s remarks, recalling that Indian dishes were also served during the G20 summit. He stated that Indian cuisine represents the nation’s culture and traditions, and when guests visit, they are served traditional dishes from the host’s region. This tradition was followed when preparing meals for BRICS representatives.

Singh added that if Gandhi’s mind is clouded with negativity, it does not mean the entire nation should share that sentiment. India showcased its culture and cuisine to its guests, aligning with the country’s traditions.
