After BRICS Summit, the World is Looking Towards India: Sanjay Seth

Ranchi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Ranchi, September 14 — Defense Minister Sanjay Seth stated that following the BRICS summit, the world is looking to India for peace, development, and the welfare of humanity. He expressed optimism about India’s global role during a conversation in Ranchi.

Seth emphasized that India seeks peace, a desire shared by nations worldwide. “Our focus is on development. We are dedicated to global peace and the welfare of humanity,” he said. He noted that India has successfully hosted several significant international events, including the G-20 and AI summits, culminating in the recent BRICS summit, where leaders from 11 nations gathered to discuss global unity for peace and welfare. Notably, all participating countries condemned the recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam, agreeing on a zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism.

In response to opposition criticism regarding the BRICS summit, Seth asserted that the opposition often retreats when national interests are at stake. He accused them of questioning the country’s achievements instead of supporting them.

On inquiries about the Election Commission, Seth highlighted that many nations commend India’s electoral body for its fairness and transparency, given the country’s size. He criticized the opposition for raising questions only after electoral defeats, stating, “The public is aware of everything, which is why they have sidelined the opposition.”

Regarding comments from Rahul Gandhi about the BRICS summit, Seth accused him of trying to create controversies for media attention. “When he has nothing substantial to say, he questions the food served to visiting foreign leaders,” he remarked. He noted that these leaders have experienced India’s rich culture and cuisine.

Seth also spoke about the health benefits of Indian millets and vegetarian food, reiterating that India’s focus remains on global welfare and national interests. He concluded by highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to advancing India’s global influence, suggesting that the opposition appears troubled by this progress.
