Meerut, 22 August (Kiran News): The Vande Bharat Express operating between Meerut and Lucknow has been extended. Starting Wednesday, the Vande Bharat Express will now travel beyond Lucknow, reaching Ayodhya Dham and Varanasi at high speed. Passengers from the region will now be able to comfortably visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and Baba Vishwanath in Varanasi. The journey from Meerut will take approximately twelve hours, while the train will cover the distance from Moradabad to Ayodhya in 7 hours 13 minutes, and to Varanasi in 9 hours 45 minutes.
The Vande Bharat Express (22489-22490) passing through Moradabad will now run to the next stops from 27 August onwards. This will be the first high-speed train to operate directly between Meerut and Varanasi. The extension is expected to make the train even more beneficial for the railways. Previously, many seats remained vacant in Vande Bharat due to the smaller fare and time difference between the Nau Chandi Express and Rajya Rani trains from Meerut. The new route is likely to make Vande Bharat more popular. From Moradabad, passengers will reach Ayodhya Dham in 7 hours 13 minutes and Varanasi in 9 hours 45 minutes. According to the railway spokesperson, the new facility will be available from 27 August.
