Massive Turnout for Tricolor Rally in Vadodara, Gujarats Deputy CM Urges Youth to Stay Away from Drugs

Ahmedabad, August 14: A significant crowd participated in the Tricolor Rally led by Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi in Vadodara on Friday. The event aimed to celebrate Independence Day while promoting a message for youth to stay away from drugs.

The rally commenced at Navalakhi Ground and concluded at Gandhinagar Home, passing through Kirti Stambh and Lal Court.

This event is part of a broader initiative in Gujarat, which plans to organize over 1,200 Tricolor rallies across the state for Independence Day.

At Navalakhi Ground, cultural performances celebrating patriotism were showcased, along with balloon releases. Attendees dressed as Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Rabindranath Tagore added a special charm to the event. The presentations reflecting India’s cultural heritage received widespread appreciation.

As the rally progressed through various city areas, more participants joined, proudly holding the national flag.

During the event, Harsh Sanghvi paid tribute to the statues of martyr Bhagat Singh and Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, honoring their contributions to the freedom struggle and nation-building.

The Deputy Chief Minister also interacted with children and differently-abled participants, commending their involvement. The presence of diverse community members reinforced the campaign’s message of unity.

Addressing the participants, Harsh Sanghvi emphasized that the youth are the future and strength of the nation. He urged them to contribute to building a drug-free society, assuring that the government will take strict action against drug traffickers and will not spare any offenders.

The Brahma Kumari organization led attendees in taking an oath to stay away from drugs. The rally concluded with aarti dedicated to Bharat Mata.

Notable figures present at the event included State Minister Manisha Vakil, Whip Balakrishna Shukla, Vadodara MP Hemang Joshi, Mayor Geetaben Makwana, MLAs Chaitanya Desai and Satish Patel, senior leader Jaiprakash Soni, Deputy Mayor Aditya Patel, Standing Committee Chairperson Varsha Vyas, Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar, Municipal Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu, and Collector Anil Dhamelia, among others.
