Vijayawada, March 20: Syed Basha, the president of the Minority Front of the Andhra Pradesh BJP, has targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. In an interview with a news agency, he asserted that the BJP is poised to form the government in West Bengal in the upcoming assembly elections. He claimed that the possibility of a TMC government in Bengal has completely vanished. The situation for Mamata Banerjee is unlikely to improve in any scenario.
Basha alleged that Banerjee has been demanding voting rights for individuals who are not even eligible to vote. He stated that the TMC’s exit from the state is now certain. According to him, Banerjee’s position has deteriorated to the point where those who support her are not spoken of, while those who oppose her face continuous harassment through campaigns.
He further noted that the BJP has now understood how the TMC has been winning elections in the state. Such practices will not be accepted in any form, he emphasized, calling them outright wrong.
Basha explained that the current situation in the state favors officials who support the government. Conversely, those who do not are subjected to a hostile environment, which should not occur. He insisted that officials should remain politically neutral. The government has decided to identify and remove such officials from their positions.
He expressed that the TMC is now fearful of losing its government in West Bengal. This fear leads them to attack the Election Commission and engage in inappropriate discussions with officials. They also reference the SIR to criticize the central government. Basha claimed that the TMC is attempting to mislead the public, which the people of the state will not accept. Such a situation is detrimental to democracy.
Additionally, he praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement, highlighting that while there is conflict in West Asia, the Indian government is working to ensure that people of all religions and communities can live peacefully together.
