
Ghaziabad, May 27: A severe fire incident occurred in Ghaziabad’s Vaishali area. The blaze ignited in an electric vehicle charging car located in the basement of a building on Link Road. The fire quickly escalated, filling the entire building with smoke and blocking the stairways. Approximately 15 to 17 individuals were trapped inside. Upon receiving the alert, four fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames.
Fire officer Rahul Pal Singh reported, “At 2:24 AM, the Vaishali fire station received information about a fire at building number 177 in Ram Puri, Surya Nagar, where 15 to 17 people were trapped. Immediately, four fire engines from Vaishali and Sahibabad were dispatched to the site.”
“Upon arrival, we found a severe fire in the EV charging car in the basement, which had caused smoke to fill the entire building and block the stairways. The fire service began extinguishing the flames promptly. Meanwhile, those trapped managed to escape by jumping from the adjacent building. Thankfully, everyone is safe, and there were no casualties.”
Earlier, on May 26, a fire broke out in the Shipra Srishti Society located in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. At 4:49 PM, the chief fire officer of Ghaziabad and the in-charge officer from Vaishali arrived at the scene with fire tenders after receiving reports of the blaze. Upon arrival, they discovered that a fire had erupted in flat number 1506 on the 15th floor of the Shipra Srishti apartment.
The fire in the high-rise created panic among residents, prompting many to evacuate their homes. Under the direction of the chief fire officer, firefighters quickly initiated action. Utilizing the pre-installed fire fighting system in the society, they laid out two hose pipelines and commenced the firefighting operation. The fire department team managed to control the situation in a remarkably short time.
