
New Delhi, July 1: A significant opportunity has emerged for youth aspiring to build a career in the banking sector. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released an official notification announcing the recruitment of eligible candidates for various Specialist Officer positions across different banks under the Common Recruitment Process (CRP-XVI). A total of 745 vacancies have been declared.
The 745 vacancies include 301 IT Officer (Scale I), 190 Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I), 89 Rajbhasha Officer (Scale I), 105 Law Officer (Scale I), and 60 HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I) positions.
The online application process for all these posts commenced on July 1, with the last date for applications set for July 21. Eligible candidates wishing to apply can submit their registration forms on the official IBPS website before or by the deadline. Additionally, candidates who make mistakes while filling out the application form will have a window for corrections available for two days after the registration process closes.
Applicants for the IT Officer (Scale I) position must hold a four-year engineering/technology degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Electronics, or related fields from a recognized institution or university. Alternatively, candidates with a postgraduate degree in the aforementioned areas or those who have passed the DOEACC ‘B’ level can apply.
For the Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I) position, candidates should possess a four-year degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fisheries Science, or related fields.
Candidates applying for the Rajbhasha Officer (Scale I) position need a postgraduate degree in Hindi with English at the graduate level or a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi at the graduate level.
For the Law Officer (Scale I) position, a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council is required. Meanwhile, candidates for the HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I) position must have a graduate degree and a two-year full-time postgraduate degree or diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, or related fields.
The minimum age for applicants is set at 20 years, while the maximum age is 30 years as of July 1. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on an online preliminary exam, online main exam, interview, and document verification. Selected candidates can expect a salary ranging from ₹48,480 to ₹85,920 per month, along with additional benefits and allowances. The preliminary exam is likely to be held in August.
Candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online while filling out the application form, which is ₹850 for General/OBC/EWS candidates and ₹175 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
