Ayodhya, September 30 (Daily Kiran) : Preparations for the Deepotsav festival in Ayodhya are ramping up as the Shri Ayodhya Ji Tirth Vikas Parishad has issued several significant tenders related to the event. CEO Jayendra Kumar announced that tenders have been released for the installation of tents and decorations at Ram Ki Paidi and the main event site. Additionally, a separate tender has been issued for the procurement of oil and clay lamps.
In an interview, Kumar mentioned that tenders have also been issued for essential supplies needed to light the lamps, including T-shirts, candles, camphor, wicks, and other related items. Furthermore, five major tenders have been issued for food arrangements for approximately 30,000 children, as well as for lighting in temples. He assured that the processes are underway and that all preparations will be completed soon.
Meetings have already been held with the mayor and local representatives to discuss the arrangements for Deepotsav. Similar discussions have taken place with officials at the divisional and district levels. The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation and the Shri Ayodhya Ji Tirth Vikas Parishad have been assigned various responsibilities, including cleanliness, lighting, and beautification, with work progressing steadily.
This year, the Deepotsav will be expanded to cover nearly two kilometers, with the main event taking place at Ram Ki Paidi. The administration aims to set a new world record by lighting approximately 2.8 million clay lamps. Plans are in place to extend the event area from Lakshman Ghat to Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat.
To enhance the experience for devotees and tourists, new steps are being constructed at the ghats within the Ram Ki Paidi complex. The area will be illuminated with millions of lamps, creating a spectacular sight during the festival.
The municipal corporation is also working diligently on cleaning, lighting, and beautifying the ghats. The administration’s goal is to make this year’s Deepotsav more grand and organized compared to previous years, ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of all attendees.
