Jalna, March 22: A tragic loss has struck Maharashtra as Shabbir Ahmed Ansari, a prominent leader of the OBC Muslim community and a fierce advocate for social justice, passed away at the age of 79 after a prolonged illness. His death has sent waves of grief throughout Maharashtra and among the OBC community nationwide.
Ansari resided in the Nootan Vasahat area near the railway gate in Jalna. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and six daughters. His final journey will commence from his residence at 9 PM following the Isha prayer tonight. The funeral prayers will be held at the Syed Ahmed Sher Sawar Dargah, after which he will be laid to rest in the nearby cemetery.
Shabbir Ahmed Ansari was regarded as a pillar of the OBC movement. For over four decades, he tirelessly fought for the rights, reservations, and social justice of the Other Backward Classes (OBC).
