Maharashtra Governments Tough Stance on Cow Smuggling Welcomed by Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha

Mumbai, May 24: The Maharashtra government has announced strict measures against cow smuggling and illegal animal activities by implementing the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA). Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha has expressed his support for this decision, stating that only a true patriot could make such a choice. He emphasized that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has consistently worked for the nation’s interests.

In a conversation on Saturday, Lodha remarked that this decision reflects the mindset of a patriot. He noted that Chief Minister Fadnavis has always operated with a focus on national interest and patriotism. According to him, this move has created a sense of satisfaction and joy among cow protectors and patriotic citizens.

The minister clarified that the government’s aim is not just to take action against cow smugglers but also to reach those behind the entire network. He mentioned that various illegal elements could be involved in such networks, and strict actions should be taken against all of them.

Lodha also stated that individuals involved in such activities should face severe penalties to deter future crimes. He asserted that the government is fully committed to strengthening law and order and will not compromise at any level.

Meanwhile, in Palghar district, state minister Yogesh Ramdas Kadam indicated that if any individual is found repeatedly involved in cow slaughter or related illegal activities, action will be taken against them under MCOCA.

He made it clear that there will be no leniency in this matter, and strict measures will be enforced under the law. The government believes that such activities not only violate the law but also pose serious social and cultural issues.
