Tehran, September 2: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced on Wednesday that it has targeted several US military installations in Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq in response to alleged American attacks.
According to local media reports, the IRGC stated it successfully struck the residential area and command post of the US ‘Ali Al-Salem’ airbase in Kuwait. The semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that this operation was part of a broader campaign against the Ali Al-Salem base, showcasing the IRGC’s extensive intelligence regarding US activities in the region.
The IRGC also claimed to have launched ballistic missiles at the US Marine Corps base, Camp Titan, located near the Gulf of Aqaba in Jordan. This action was reportedly in retaliation for an alleged US strike on a wedding ceremony in Iran’s Sirik region.
The statement indicated that multiple military facilities and helicopters were destroyed, resulting in significant losses for US forces. Additionally, the IRGC claimed it had destroyed a surveillance balloon control system at a US military base in Erbil, Iraq.
According to IRNA, the IRGC’s ground forces attacked US installations in Erbil, destroying a maintenance center and warehouses for technical equipment. The organization asserted that several American personnel were killed, and fuel storage facilities were set ablaze.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that the US attack on a house in Sirik, where a wedding celebration was taking place, resulted in over 50 casualties. He wrote on X, “The list of American atrocities against Iran is now complete. The attack occurred in the Kuhestak area of Sirik while families were celebrating a wedding. More than 50 innocent men, women, and children were killed or injured.”
