Major Benefits for Outsourced Workers in Uttar Pradesh with New Portal Launch

Lucknow, September 2: The establishment of the Uttar Pradesh Outsourcing Service Corporation marks a significant advancement for millions of outsourced workers in the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the corporation at Lok Bhawan on Wednesday, unveiling the UP COS portal and website along with the corporation’s logo.

Under this new system, outsourced workers will have access to a unified platform for information related to recruitment, attendance, compensation, EPF, ESI, leave, and grievances. Payments will be directly deposited into bank accounts on time, and the digital monitoring of employee rights will be implemented. The UP COS portal will connect departments, outsourcing agencies, and employees within a single framework.

With online recruitment and joining information, employees can track their attendance, payments, deductions, and service-related details. The portal will also facilitate the filing of complaints and their resolution. Timely deposit of EPF contributions and ensuring benefits from ESI are part of the new arrangements, eliminating the need for outsourced workers to visit multiple offices for service-related information.

During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the State Bank of India to provide social security and other benefits to outsourced workers. This includes arrangements for accident insurance and various financial and social security benefits.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed checks for increased remuneration to outsourced workers at the event. A short film was also showcased. Among those receiving checks were Rohit Kumar from the Secretariat Administration Department, night watchman Kasin Khan, sanitation worker Sarita, and others from the Lucknow Municipal Corporation.
