Maharashtra Cyber Police Act Against Dhurdhar 2 Film Leak on Telegram

New Delhi, April 7: Maharashtra Cyber Police have swiftly acted against the leak of Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurdhar: The Revenge’ by filing a complaint against an unidentified individual. The film was allegedly shared illegally on Telegram and sold for profit.

The police have registered a case under Section 51 of the Copyright Act. According to the Cyber Police, a group was created on Telegram where copies of ‘Dhurdhar: The Revenge’ were sent upon request. The group admin charged interested individuals up to 50 rupees to send the film’s link or file. This operation had been ongoing for some time.

Maharashtra Cyber Cell has begun identifying those running these Telegram groups. Authorities state that the suspects will be apprehended soon.

Film piracy not only causes significant financial losses to the film industry but also adversely affects producers, directors, and artists. It directly impacts box office earnings, preventing hard work from being valued appropriately. ‘Dhurdhar: The Revenge’ is a high-budget film that audiences have eagerly awaited.

The film’s production team had previously lodged a complaint with Maharashtra Cyber Police regarding the illegal sharing of the film. The Cyber Police have taken this matter seriously and assured strict action against piracy.

The police team is currently tracing the digital footprints of Telegram group admins and others involved in the film leak.
