Bhopal, May 14: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, welcomed the central government’s decision to raise the minimum support price (MSP) for 14 Kharif crops for the 2026-27 marketing season. He stated that this move will directly benefit farmers in the state and strengthen the agricultural sector.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the revised MSP on Wednesday.

Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister, Yadav noted that the government has consistently made decisions aimed at increasing farmers’ incomes and ensuring agricultural development.

Yadav remarked, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, decisions are being made in favor of farmers. The increase in MSP for 14 Kharif crops will help strengthen the agricultural sector and enhance the income of our farmers.”

He further emphasized that this initiative will provide direct assistance to millions of farmers in Madhya Pradesh, where agriculture is a crucial part of the economy.

The Chief Minister stated, “The decision to raise the MSP will directly benefit farmers in Madhya Pradesh and across the country. The central government has taken several concrete steps for the welfare and prosperity of farmers.”

Yadav also highlighted state-level initiatives for farmers. He mentioned that Madhya Pradesh is celebrating 2026 as the “Year of Farmer Welfare,” with programs focused on farmers being organized throughout the state.

These programs include exhibitions of advanced agricultural machinery, awareness campaigns about government schemes, and training in modern farming techniques to boost productivity.
