Udaipur (Kiran News). The vibrant ‘Lines and Stories of Udaipur – 150 Weeks of Urban Sketching’ exhibition came to a grand close at RK Mall, celebrating a remarkable 150-week artistic journey. Organized by the Urban Sketchers Udaipur Community and Creative Circle, the two-day art festival offered city residents, students, and artists an inspiring experience rich in creativity.

Astronaut Sudhanshu Shukla’s Special Address
A highlight of the closing ceremony was a live video interaction with Indian astronaut Sudhanshu Shukla, who recently returned from space. Addressing urban sketch artists and students, he emphasized, “Art, imagination, and creative power take humans to new heights. Everyone should make creativity and art a part of their life.”
Literature, Music, and Live Art Bring Energy
During the event, Rajat Kahaniwala shared stories inspired by Vijaydan Detha, while Radhika Laddha added a literary touch with her poetry. Social worker Komal Kothari concluded the exhibition, encouraging the artists, while Suresh Paliwal conducted a yoga session.
Live music performances by Mo. Asad, Bhanu Pratap, Krishna Sharma, Farman, Kashyap, and Karan Meghwal’s team brought energy to the festival. Notably, children from GSSS, Varda School, participated in live demonstrations and music sessions, giving young artists a platform to showcase their talent.
Artists Mo. Yunus, Makbool, Rahul Mali, and Kamlesh Dangi also presented live demonstrations, receiving much appreciation from the audience.
Interactive Art Sessions and Talks
Other key attractions included live sketching sessions, the ‘Anybody Can Sketch’ art talk, a watercolor demonstration, and a special session on moto art by Tahir Merchant, drawing enthusiastic participation from visitors.
A Collective Celebration of Udaipur’s Creativity
Urban Sketchers Udaipur founder and architect Sunil Laddha said the exhibition celebrated a 150-week journey of creativity. Thanking all participants, artists, and residents, he noted, “This event is a collective effort to preserve the art and stories of Udaipur.”
The two-day exhibition, blending art, literature, and music, has now become a memorable chapter in Udaipur’s cultural history.
