
New Delhi, June 23: On the death anniversary of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta, along with BJP President Harsh Malhotra and other party leaders, paid their respects. The leaders also participated in a tree-planting ceremony during the event.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed, “Today, on the martyrdom day of revered Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, I offered floral tributes at his statue in Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Park, located at Delhi Gate.”
Dr. Mukherjee dedicated his life to the unity, integrity, and cultural values of the nation. His supreme sacrifice for India’s integrity symbolizes his unwavering loyalty and dedication to the country. Alongside state president and Union Minister Harsh Malhotra, tree planting took place in the park, attended by senior officials, representatives, and numerous party workers. “We pay our heartfelt homage to the eternal symbol of service and dedication to the nation, Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee,” Gupta added.
BJP President Harsh Malhotra remarked, “Today, we gather to pay tribute to the founder president of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Whether we work in the government or the organization, all BJP workers and leaders serve with the ideology, policies, and vision he established.”
Malhotra further stated, “Dr. Mukherjee made the ultimate sacrifice to keep India united. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi abrogated Articles 370 and 35A, the true meaning of that sacrifice was realized. As a result, Jammu and Kashmir became an integral part of India, and now the Indian Constitution applies directly to Jammu and Kashmir.”
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari noted, “Today is the martyrdom day of Syama Prasad Mukherjee. On this day, he was injured while entering Kashmir without a permit, which ultimately led to his death. We remember him and pay tribute across the nation.”
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj stated, “I pay my heartfelt tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, a strong guardian of unity, Indian identity, and nationalism. His life demonstrates that ‘Nation First’ is not just a slogan but a perspective, a philosophy of life.”
BJP MLA Satish Upadhyay added, “Today, we all pay tribute to Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country and stood for its unity and integrity. Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to promoting cultural nationalism is inspired by Syama Prasad Mukherjee.”
Delhi government minister Pankaj Kumar Singh remarked, “Syama Prasad Mukherjee was our great visionary leader, dedicated to Hinduism and this country. Today, we all pay tribute to him. He even resigned from his ministerial position for the service of the nation and sacrificed his life for the country’s integrity.”
