Leaders Celebrate International Democracy Day, Emphasizing Participation and Equality

New Delhi, September 15 (Daily Kiran) : Indian leaders extended their greetings to citizens on International Democracy Day, celebrated on September 15. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took to social media to express, “Democracy is the foundation of our strength, identity, and rights. On this occasion, I wish all citizens heartfelt congratulations. Let us renew our commitment to democratic values, constitutional norms, and our rights and duties.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Warm wishes to all citizens on International Democracy Day! Our unwavering faith in unity amidst diversity, public participation, and constitutional values is the greatest strength of Indian democracy. Let us pledge to strengthen the spirit of the Constitution, respect citizens’ rights, and enrich democratic values.”

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the role of the populace, saying, “The strength of the world’s largest democracy, India, lies in its 1.4 billion citizens. For us, democracy embodies participation and a sense of duty towards the nation. On this International Democracy Day, I extend my warm wishes to everyone. May the power of public trust and participation grow stronger as we work together towards a developed India.”

Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh from the Delhi government emphasized, “The strength of democracy lies in participation, equality, and freedom. On this occasion, I wish everyone heartfelt congratulations. Let us strengthen our commitment to democratic values and actively participate in the nation’s progress.”

Bihar Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha acknowledged India’s role in promoting democracy globally, stating, “Warm wishes to all citizens on International Democracy Day! Democracy is not just a governance system; it symbolizes our collective commitment to participation, equality, freedom, rights, and duties. Let us contribute to building a strong, inclusive, and developed India by reinforcing democratic values.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya also shared his thoughts, saying, “Heartfelt wishes to everyone on International Democracy Day! Democracy is a powerful expression of faith in participation, equality, freedom, and rights. Our democracy grows stronger through active citizen engagement and commitment to constitutional values. Let us resolve to enhance our civic spirit and contribute to a developed India through a robust democracy.”
