Mumbai, August 12: Renowned Bollywood playback singer Kumar Sanu has revisited his cherished memories from the 1990s. He praised composer Anu Malik while reminiscing about their long and memorable journey together in the music industry.
Kumar Sanu highlighted Anu Malik’s remarkable ability to create melodies instantly and present songs in fresh styles according to the occasion. Together, they produced numerous unforgettable tracks that continue to resonate with audiences today.
Recently, Kumar Sanu appeared on Sony Entertainment Television’s popular dance reality show “India’s Best Dancer Season 5,” where Anu Malik was also present.
During their conversation, Kumar Sanu reflected on the past, noting how quickly Anu Malik could produce songs. He stated, “I have never seen anyone create songs as instantly as he does.”
He further added, “If a producer wasn’t satisfied with a song crafted by Anu Malik, he would offer multiple variations on the spot. Anu could present a single song in 14-15 different styles, and his voice and style would compel anyone to appreciate the song.”
During the show, host Hardik Limbachiya invited Kumar Sanu to perform. He captivated the audience by singing “Sambhala Hai Maine,” a popular track from the 1994 film “Naraaz,” composed by Anu Malik.
After his performance, Kumar Sanu once again praised Anu Malik’s contributions to music, stating, “In the 1990s, Anu Malik gave Hindi film music many great songs. ‘Sambhala Hai Maine’ was a challenging piece. Crafting such songs and presenting them correctly is no easy task.”
The upcoming episodes of “India’s Best Dancer Season 5” will feature the theme “India Wala Dance,” titled “Great Grand Tashan.” Contestants Ritesh and Pratik will entertain the audience with their spectacular dance performances, bringing back nostalgic memories from the 1990s along with music and dance.
