Jailer 2 Receives UA Certification, Set to Release Worldwide on October 15
The highly anticipated film Jailer 2 starring Rajinikanth is set for a global release on October 15 after receiving a UA certification.
Chennai, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted a UA certification to the much-anticipated action entertainer ‘Jailer 2,’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film features superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role.
Production company Sun Pictures announced the certification on social media, stating, “Jailer 2 has received a UA certificate.” Recently, the filmmakers unveiled the trailer, which has garnered enthusiastic responses from fans.
The trailer opens with actor Sooraj Venjaramoodu’s character questioning a captive, “In these two months, you must have figured out who did this.” The captive retorts, “Not just me, but you won’t be able to find him either.”
As the trailer unfolds, it reveals that not only Sooraj’s character but several villains are also trying to uncover the mastermind behind recent events. Rajinikanth makes a powerful entry as Tiger Muthuveil Pandian.
In one scene, a weary Sooraj Venjaramoodu is seen asking his companions, “Have you found him or not?” For a moment, it seems that Tiger Muthuveil Pandian is hiding, but the trailer quickly dispels that notion.
The trailer hints that Muthuveil Pandian has disguised himself as a driver to investigate whether a larger figure is controlling the villains. It also showcases him using snipers to attack his enemies, with one villain played by SJ Surya, who claims they can retaliate in the same manner.
An intriguing exchange occurs between Rajinikanth and Vidya Balan, where her character asks him, “Would you like tea or coffee?” Muthuveil Pandian politely declines, to which she responds, “The choice is between tea and coffee, not whether to drink.”
In another scene, someone warns Tiger Muthuveil Pandian about the dangerous ‘Kalpaks,’ stating they leave no one alive. Muthuveil Pandian smiles and replies, “Oh, I didn’t know that. Let’s see.”
He then warns Kalpaks that the old methods used to instill fear in people’s hearts are outdated. He declares, “That was the style of your father’s era. Now, gathering all enemies in one place and blowing it up is the new trend.”
‘Jailer 2’ is scheduled for release in theaters worldwide on October 15. Since the film’s announcement, excitement has been building among audiences and Rajinikanth’s fans. In April, the producers confirmed the completion of filming, sharing photos from a cake-cutting ceremony held to celebrate the milestone.
