Mumbai, June 12: The comedy-drama film ‘Heer Sara Aur Puducherry,’ featuring actors Patralekha and Manvi Gagroo, has officially hit the big screen. On Friday, actress Kiirti Kulhari shared an engaging post congratulating the film and Manvi Gagroo.
In her Instagram post, she wrote, “On this special day, heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Manvi Gagroo. May you shine even brighter and receive immense love for the film. Sending lots of love, a big hug, and best wishes to the entire Heer Sara team. Friends, go watch this beautiful film in your nearest theaters and show your love.”
Directed by Karthik Chaudhary, the film follows the emotional journey of two women seeking liberation and new purpose amidst personal crises and societal pressures. Sara (Patralekha) is an ambitious biker, while Heer (Manvi Gagroo) is navigating different phases of life.
Sara embarks on a journey from Indore to Puducherry to find her mother, while Heer attempts to stop her boyfriend’s wedding. The film celebrates themes of identity, female friendship, and the courage to rediscover oneself beyond societal expectations.
Produced by Megha Creations (Dinesh Soni), Next Level Productions (Neeraj Ruhil and Subhav Sharma), and Opticus Inc., the film has received support from Sony Music India. It also features notable performances by Arif Zakaria, Nishank Verma, and Shweta Salve in key roles.
Audience reactions have been mixed. While many appreciate the film’s core idea, they feel the screenplay is somewhat sluggish and lacks excitement or humor. Despite touching on various themes, the film does not delve deeply into them.
