Mumbai, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : The makers of ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ have unveiled the trailer for the much-anticipated sequel, starring Ajay Devgn. In this installment, Vijay Salgaonkar faces a formidable new adversary. Alongside Devgn, the film features Tabu reprising her role as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran as Nandini. Notably, Jaydeep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj join the cast, intensifying the investigation against Vijay.
The trailer, running 2 minutes and 52 seconds, showcases Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) once again trying to protect his family’s secret from the law. It hints that the conflict has escalated from a mere mind game to a battle for survival between Vijay and the police.
In the trailer, Ajay Devgn asserts that he possesses strong evidence. Jaydeep Ahlawat appears as the SP of the crime branch, recognizing Vijay’s intelligence and cunning. This shift presents Vijay with an even more dangerous challenge than before.
Prakash Raj’s character warns Vijay, stating, “He may be uneducated, but he’s not a fool. I won’t take him lightly.”
During the trailer launch event, Ajay Devgn expressed surprise at the third installment’s creation, stating that after ‘Drishyam 2’, there was uncertainty about continuing the story. He noted the complexity of advancing the narrative from where the previous film left off, given its numerous twists and turns.
Devgn praised director Abhishek Pathak for bringing a compelling idea to the table, which received widespread acclaim. He revealed that Pathak spent about two and a half years developing the script, which he deemed remarkable.
The actor described ‘Drishyam 3’ as the conclusion of this storyline, emphasizing that the script should serve as a fitting end. He believes Pathak has done an excellent job in reimagining the film and advancing the plot.
In closing, Devgn expressed hope that Mohanlal and the original team would watch the film. If they enjoy it, that would be a source of great joy for him.
