Khelo India Tribal Games Provides a Major Platform for Tribal Youth: CM Vishnu Dev Sai

Raipur, April 3: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the closing ceremony of the ‘Khelo India Tribal Games 2026’ on Friday.

CM Sai expressed pride in hosting the Khelo India Tribal Games, stating it was a fortunate opportunity for the youth to showcase their talents.

He thanked Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the people of Chhattisgarh for selecting the state to host the event. He announced that such events will be held annually in Chhattisgarh.

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, CM Sai described attending the closing ceremony at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur as a moment filled with pride and energy. He noted that the event provided a significant platform for tribal youth across the country to display their skills. Our state’s promising athletes won a total of 19 medals, including 3 gold, enhancing Chhattisgarh’s reputation.

To motivate the athletes, the competition announced cash prizes of ₹2 lakh for gold, ₹1.5 lakh for silver, and ₹1 lakh for bronze in individual events, while team events will receive ₹1 lakh for gold, ₹75,000 for silver, and ₹50,000 for bronze. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to PM Modi and Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur for this special event that gives new recognition to the dreams of tribal youth.

Regarding the West Bengal assembly elections, he stated that all our ministers are actively campaigning there, and he has some programs scheduled as well.

CM Sai claimed that the people of Bengal trust the BJP, confidently asserting that the BJP will form the government in Bengal this time.
