BJP Government to Ensure 33% Reservation for Women: Manoj Tigga

Mumbai, April 5: The Modi government is preparing to introduce the Women Reservation Bill in a special session of Parliament. During an election rally in Cooch Behar, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that efforts are underway to ensure that women across the country, including those in West Bengal, benefit from this bill by the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.

PM Modi announced that a special session of Parliament will be convened on April 16, 17, and 18. He stated that the rights of mothers and sisters have been pending for the last 40 years, and further delays are not acceptable.

BJP MP Manoj Tigga asserted that the BJP government will provide 33% reservation for women. He highlighted that the BJP delivers on its promises, citing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

He noted that previous political parties have come and gone without fulfilling their promises, but the current government is committed to delivering on this one as well. The announcement was made by PM Modi from the stage in Cooch Behar, ensuring that women will receive the benefits of 33% reservation in both the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.

Tigga criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for its inconsistent trust in the Election Commission. He remarked that while the TMC does not trust the commission when they lose, they do when they win. This double standard will not be tolerated.

He further commented that when the Aam Aadmi Party wins in Delhi, the Election Commission is deemed acceptable, but questions arise when the BJP wins. He expressed confidence in the Election Commission and all constitutional institutions, unlike the TMC, Congress, and other parties. He believes that fair elections will be based on a clean voter list.

On voting day, he encouraged people to cast their votes without fear and support the change.
