Kerala Launches Operation Storm to Combat Drug Supply

Thiruvananthapuram, May 23: The Kerala Police have initiated a comprehensive plan to ensure a crime-free environment for residents. As part of this effort, they have launched ‘Operation Storm’ aimed at curbing drug supply in the state.

This operation will identify all locations involved in the distribution of narcotics. Additionally, efforts will be made to dismantle the networks associated with drug trafficking. A dedicated team will be formed with the primary objective of disrupting the drug supply chain.

The police have made it clear that any negligence in this matter will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against anyone found involved in such activities, with no leniency offered.

Furthermore, the police have decided to launch a ‘People-Friendly Policing’ initiative. This campaign aims to convey to the public that the police are their allies. Consequently, citizens should feel comfortable approaching the police with their issues. Traditionally, many hesitate to report their problems to law enforcement, making this initiative particularly significant.

In addition, the Kerala Police have outlined a strategy to address crimes against women and children, which will be implemented soon. They have stated that crimes against these vulnerable groups will not be tolerated under any circumstances. To improve police operations, a training program will soon commence to expedite the resolution of pending cases.

Moreover, every individual visiting a police station will now be greeted with a ‘Good Morning.’ This decision is intended to foster a sense of friendship between the police and the community, emphasizing that the police care about their concerns.
