Karnataka Allocates Over 300,000 Homes and Plots, Says Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, May 23: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced that more than 300,000 homes and plots have been allocated in Karnataka. He emphasized the state’s commitment to comprehensive development through the construction of an international-level stadium in Surynagar. This initiative aims to enhance sports, tourism, job creation, and economic growth in the region.

During the inauguration of the foundation stone for the international cricket stadium, organized by the Housing Department and the Karnataka Housing Board, Siddaramaiah also launched the ‘Namma Mane’ project. He laid the foundation for the Surya Shine and Surya Divine housing complexes and conducted a symbolic land allocation program for landowners who donated land for the housing project.

The Housing Department and the Karnataka Housing Board, which previously focused solely on housing construction, are now advancing towards building an 80,000-seat stadium. This progress is a remarkable example of development, and the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Shivlingegowda and Jameer Ahmed for their contributions.

Located in Gujarat, this stadium will have a capacity of 90,000 seats, making it the second-largest stadium in the state. It is expected to boost tourism and strengthen the economy of surrounding cities while creating more job opportunities. The Chief Minister noted that Shivlingegowda mentioned the stadium would be funded by the KHB without any financial assistance from the government.

The KHB is projected to generate an income of ₹20,000 crores from the sale of vacant lands. Everyone desires a roof over their heads. Considering the rising land prices, the Chief Minister stated that the KHB is providing affordable land to the poor and middle class.
