Akbarpur, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : The release of the film “Hanuman Ansh,” which chronicles the life of Baba Neem Karoli, has sparked a wave of joy in his village of Akbarpur. Family members and villagers have expressed their excitement and support for the film, highlighting its depiction of Baba’s life and miracles.
Jagdish Prasad Bhatele, Baba Neem Karoli’s son-in-law, shared his thoughts on the film. “I have not witnessed Baba’s miracles firsthand, but he was a devoted follower of Lord Hanuman, and the film is outstanding,” he stated.
One devotee, who has been visiting the Baba Neem Karoli temple for four years, praised the film after watching it with his daughter. He expressed his belief that the events portrayed in the movie are authentic. “I don’t think anything in the film is fabricated,” he said.
A nephew of Baba Neem Karoli also expressed his happiness about the film. “Baba was my uncle, and we share the same lineage. His connection with Hanuman was profound, and the film accurately reflects his life. Since its release, the number of devotees visiting the village temple has increased,” he noted, adding that the film has sparked greater interest in Baba’s legacy.
Another family member recalled their childhood memories with Baba, stating, “I studied with Baba when we were young, so my memories are a bit hazy. However, being part of ‘Hanuman Ansh’ has been a unique experience.”
A young villager mentioned Baba’s significant role in the community, noting, “Baba was once the village head and spent his childhood here. The film beautifully portrays many stories and miracles from his life.”
The film “Hanuman Ansh” is inspired by Baba Neem Karoli’s spiritual journey, depicting the story of a 12-year-old Lakshmi Narayan (Baba Neem Karoli) who, after the sudden death of his mother, embarks on a quest to find God, hoping to reunite with her. This journey leads him through temples, forests, and villages, ultimately guiding him toward a spiritual path.
As Lakshmi Narayan renounces worldly attachments, he dedicates his life to feeding the hungry, helping those in need, and spreading love and compassion without discrimination. The film includes many notable anecdotes and spiritual experiences associated with Baba.
Written, directed, and produced by Vishal Chaturvedi, “Hanuman Ansh” features Shobhinav Satya in the lead role. The film premiered in theaters on August 7, 2026.
