Mumbai, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Actor Rajneesh Duggal is set to bring the inspiring story of teacher Pankaj Sijaria to the big screen in an upcoming biopic. Known for his distinctive teaching style, Sijaria has made a significant impact on his students, and Duggal is eager to portray him.
Duggal expressed his excitement about joining the project, stating that he was immediately drawn to the film upon learning about it. In a recent Instagram Live session with Sijaria, Duggal revealed that the film’s narrative was penned by one of Sijaria’s former students.
He shared, “A student of Pankaj Sir wrote the story, and then he asked me if I would like to play Pankaj’s character. I instantly agreed. I want to be part of any project like this. I have read the entire script, and it is written in a very engaging manner.”
One of the unique aspects of this biopic is that it is being brought to life by a former student, offering a fresh perspective on the teacher-student relationship. Duggal commented that the film will showcase Sijaria’s life and journey from the viewpoint of his student.
The biopic is being written and directed by James A., one of Sijaria’s former students. Actress Esha Talwar has been cast in the female lead role. Currently, the film is in the development stage, with several key production tasks underway.
