Patna, May 28: JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Prasad has criticized the Congress party following the attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in Kerala. In a recent conversation, he stated that such behavior often emerges when Congress is in opposition. The mistreatment of ED officials under the Congress-led UDF government represents a significant administrative failure.
Prasad further emphasized that strict action must be taken against the responsible officials and those who incited the chaos.
Regarding the cancellation of Giribala Singh’s bail in the high-profile Twisha Sharma death case in Bhopal, he described it as a heart-wrenching incident. He commended the Madhya Pradesh government for its strong and honest stance throughout the case, noting that Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has been quite active. Justice has been served to the victim’s family in this matter.
On the viral video of a religious gathering at the Taj Mahal, Prasad remarked that the Taj Mahal is a symbol of India’s pride and heritage. It attracts tourists from around the world, and this incident raises serious questions about the Archaeological Survey of India’s (ASI) operations. A thorough investigation into the matter is warranted.
Discussing the Supreme Court’s historic decision regarding the Special Investigation Team (SIT), Prasad stated that it is a complete resolution to the opposition’s aggressive stance on the issue. There should be no room for further protests or misinformation regarding the SIT.
Commenting on Congress’s claims about the ‘India’ alliance, he expressed skepticism about Congress’s ability to make decisions without the consensus of leaders like Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, and those from the Left. He pointed out that Congress has a history of competing against each other in elections, even fielding candidates against the TMC in Bengal. He believes there is no agreement among the Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party, TMC, or the Left regarding Rahul Gandhi’s acceptability.
On the preparations for Prashant Kishor to contest from Bankipur, Prasad noted that the BJP has historically won in that constituency. Under PM Modi’s leadership, the BJP and NDA have seen remarkable expansion across the country. Whether Kishor or any leader from Jan Suraj contests, securing bail will not be easy for them.
