Jagdambika Pal Highlights Public Trust in BJP Principles, Criticizes Congress

Lucknow, April 6: On the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) foundation day, MP Jagdambika Pal stated that the public has faith in the party’s principles. He emphasized that this trust has led to essential initiatives, providing housing and gas benefits to those in need.

Pal participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony at the BJP’s Uttar Pradesh headquarters in Lucknow on Monday. Responding to journalists’ questions, he remarked, “In 1984, the party held only 2 seats in the Lok Sabha; today, we have 240. With 180 million members, it is clear that the public believes in our principles. Today marks our foundation day, a commitment to our future. Prime Minister Modi has pledged to create a ‘developed India’ by 2047. Previously, there were issues with electricity, law and order, and women’s safety, but Uttar Pradesh has transformed.”

He added, “Since the BJP’s formation in 1980, we have adhered to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s principle of bringing smiles to the faces of the most marginalized. Today, the government is providing housing to those without roofs over their heads, gas connections to those without, and sanitation facilities to those lacking toilets.”

Pal also highlighted the achievements of the ‘double-engine’ government led by Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, noting that every district now has a medical college. He mentioned that infrastructure for health, education, and highways has been established, fulfilling the basic needs of the populace.

During the address, Pal targeted the Congress and Samajwadi Party, stating, “The Congress party is virtually nonexistent at the grassroots level. In states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, it has become merely a B-team. Its existence is nearly extinguished.”

He criticized Rahul Gandhi, saying that the opposition leader fails to attend crucial parliamentary sessions and instead spreads confusion outside. “India is a country where there is no shortage of petrol and diesel. The government has also reduced excise duties, preventing any hikes in fuel prices. Yet, Congress continues to create confusion nationwide,” he concluded.
