Sriharikota, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) celebrated the successful launch of the EOS-05 satellite on September 4, 2026, from Sriharikota. The GSLV-F17 mission showcased the capabilities of the GSLV rocket, impressing scientists and officials present at the launch.
Jayant N, Director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), expressed his delight, stating, “The GSLV has once again proven its capabilities with this remarkable success. Congratulations to everyone involved in this achievement. I am pleased to report that all six liquid stages—five reusable and one cryogenic—functioned flawlessly, placing the satellite into its designated orbit.”
Narayanan Appu, Director of the Indian Payload Research and Development Centre (IPRDC), remarked on the mission’s success, highlighting the early morning launch as a fantastic start to the day. He commended the ISRO team for their expertise in executing space missions with precision and quality.
Imtiaz Ahmed, the spacecraft director, praised the team’s efforts in accurately placing the satellite into orbit. He noted that EOS-05 is designed for Earth observation from a geosynchronous orbit and features unique multi-band operating capabilities.
Raghavendra M R, Director of the ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), congratulated the team on the successful mission. He acknowledged the contributions of the seven ground stations that tracked the satellite, providing excellent data throughout the mission.
Pankaj Damodar Killedar, Director of the Master Control Facility (MCF), confirmed that the spacecraft is now under their control, marking it as the 33rd satellite managed by the facility.
Dr. Rajiv, Director of the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), extended his heartfelt congratulations on the successful launch. He attributed this achievement to the teamwork and dedication of ISRO members, thanking the ISRO Chairman for his leadership. The team worked tirelessly, often going above and beyond to ensure the mission’s success.
This launch marks another significant milestone for ISRO, reinforcing India’s position in the field of space exploration and technology.
