
New Delhi, June 6: The Indian men’s hockey team has clinched the gold medal at the U-18 Asia Cup held in Japan, while the women’s team brought home the bronze. Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan congratulated both teams on this remarkable achievement.
In a post on his official X account, the Vice President expressed, “I am thrilled with the outstanding performance of our U-18 hockey teams at the U-18 Asia Cup 2026. Heartfelt congratulations to the men’s team for winning the title and to the women’s team for securing the bronze medal. These accomplishments are a testament to the talent, hard work, and determination of our young athletes. Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his congratulations to both teams for their success.

The Indian men’s team won the title by defeating Japan 4-1 in the final held on Saturday, while the women’s team triumphed over Korea 3-0 to secure the bronze medal.
