Indian Air Forces Combined Graduation Parade Set for June 13 in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 9: The Indian Air Force Academy in Dundigal will host the 217th Combined Graduation Parade on June 13. This parade symbolizes military discipline and precision, showcasing flight cadets who have successfully completed their pre-commissioning training.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will attend as the reviewing officer, presenting the graduating trainees with the ‘President’s Commission.’

During the ceremony, flight cadets who have completed their training will receive ‘Wings’ and ‘Brevet’ insignias. The event will also include officers and trainees from the Indian Navy, the Indian Coast Guard, and cadets from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

This ceremony holds special significance as it will commission the first batch of female cadets from the National Defence Academy in Pune, who graduated on May 30, 2025, and have undergone branch-specific training at the Indian Air Force Academy.

Top-ranking flight cadets in the merit list will also be awarded the ‘President’s Plaque,’ which includes categories for flying, navigation, and ground duty branches.

The parade will commence with performances by the Akash Ganga and Air Warrior drill teams, followed by a flypast led by Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh.

The flypast will feature trainer aircraft such as Pilatus, Hawk, Kiran, and Chetak. Additionally, the SU-30 MKI, Sarang Helicopter Display Team, and Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team will be the main attractions of the event.

This program will be broadcast live on the Indian Air Force’s social media channels and DD National starting at 7 AM on June 13.

The Air Force Academy in Dundigal has established a high reputation as a premier training institution for the Indian Air Force, providing training for both ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches as well as flight training for army and navy officers.
