New Delhi, March 3: In response to the current situation in the Middle East, India has issued a high alert. The Ministry of Home Affairs and security agencies have directed all states to monitor suspicious individuals and deploy police forces to maintain law and order, ensuring peace across the nation.
Demonstrations are occurring in various states in support of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an attack by the United States and Israel. Some individuals are attempting to spread confusion through social media. In light of this, police and administration have issued stern warnings regarding the use of social media. Citizens are urged to refrain from posting, sharing, or forwarding any objectionable, inflammatory, or unwanted content. Rumors and misleading messages can disrupt the atmosphere and pose a serious challenge to law and order.
Authorities have stated that while the right to express opinions peacefully and legally is respected, violence, damage to public property, and clashes with security forces are unacceptable under any circumstances. Such incidents can lead to loss of life and property, causing distress to the entire community.
The police have warned that strict legal action will be taken against any violations. Elements involved in illegal activities, instigators, and anti-social elements will be identified and dealt with severely.
In this context, local police in Bandipora district of Karnataka have appealed to citizens to cooperate in maintaining law and order. The police administration has emphasized that ensuring peace and security is a collective responsibility, urging people to avoid any activities that may disturb public tranquility.
The police’s appeal states that individuals should not engage in vandalism, riots, stone-pelting, or any form of disturbance. Such actions are not only against the law but also cause significant hardship to the general public, traders, students, and daily wage workers. Violence and unrest can lead to the closure of educational institutions, disruptions in movement, and adverse effects on economic activities.
