IISc Recruitment 2026: Apply Now for Multiple Positions Including Instructor Roles

Bengaluru, July 2: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore has announced an official notification inviting applications for a total of 11 positions, including instructors and project scientists, based on various subjects for its undergraduate program. The vacancies include 4 for the general category, 1 for Scheduled Castes, 2 for Scheduled Tribes, 2 for Other Backward Classes, and 2 for Economically Weaker Sections.

The available positions at IISc include 1 Instructor in Physics, 2 Instructors in Humanities, 2 Instructors in Mathematics, 1 Project Scientist – I in Engineering/Electronics, 1 Project Scientist – I in Computer Science, 2 Instructors in Aerospace Engineering, and 2 Instructors in Mechanics and Computing.

The online application process for all positions has commenced. The deadline for applications is set for July 10. Candidates wishing to apply can submit their registration forms on the official IISc website before or by the deadline.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in the relevant field from a recognized institution or university. The maximum age limit for applicants is set between 35 to 38 years, calculated based on the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on shortlisting, interviews, and document verification. The monthly salary for selected candidates will range from ₹58,000 to ₹1,02,000, along with additional benefits and allowances.

This recruitment is entirely temporary and will be on a contract basis. Initially, the contract will be for one year, with the possibility of annual extensions based on the institute’s needs and satisfactory performance, but the maximum duration will not exceed five years.
