Jaipur, 23 August (Kiran News). Continuous heavy rainfall in the state capital led to a major incident at Amer Fort on Saturday, as a nearly 200-foot-long wall of the Dil-E-Aram Bagh inside the fort suddenly collapsed. Two motorcycles were damaged in the incident. Fortunately, no one was present nearby at the time, preventing a major accident.

The loud noise from the collapse startled people in the area and created panic at the scene. The sudden fall of the wall also shocked domestic and foreign tourists present inside the fort. With the rainy season attracting large numbers of visitors to Amer Fort, this incident has raised questions regarding safety arrangements.
Amer Fort Superintendent Dr. Rakesh Cholak said that due to continuous rain, the wall of Rambagh in front of the Jwala Mata Temple on the route from the elephant stand to the fort has collapsed. The remaining wall and path have also become very weak. Keeping in mind the safety of elephants and tourists, elephant rides at Amer Fort have been suspended until further orders.
