New Delhi, August 22: As the weather changes, many people experience symptoms like cold, fever, body aches, sore throat, cough, and headaches. These issues often seem normal due to the fluctuations in rain and temperature.
However, some individuals may dismiss these symptoms as just a common viral infection or seasonal effects. It is crucial to remain vigilant if these symptoms persist or worsen, as they could indicate a swine flu (H1N1) infection.
On Saturday, the Health Ministry shared a post on the social media platform ‘X,’ warning the public about the symptoms of swine flu (H1N1), which include fever, cough, sore throat, headache, runny nose, body aches, and fatigue.
The ministry emphasized the importance of early detection and urged people not to ignore persistent symptoms. If you experience these signs, it is advisable to consult a doctor at the nearest healthcare center.
In case of swine flu (H1N1) infection, there is no need to panic. Instead, it is essential to take the right precautions. Follow medical advice and consume nutritious foods as recommended by healthcare professionals.
If you exhibit flu-like symptoms, avoid close contact with others. Wear a mask, especially when going outside or being around other people. Exercise extra caution around elderly individuals, young children, or those with pre-existing health conditions to reduce the risk of spreading the infection.
When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or handkerchief, and change it regularly. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, and continue using hand sanitizer as needed.
