
Chandigarh, March 6: The Haryana Police showcased an impressive performance at the 44th All India Police Equestrian Duty Meet, securing four medals.
This prestigious competition took place in Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh, from February 12 to February 26, 2026. The Haryana Police team demonstrated exceptional skill and discipline across various events, bringing pride to the state.
DGP Ajay Singhal congratulated the team on their success, attributing it to their hard work and discipline. He stated, “The personnel of Haryana Police are excelling in every field. Success in equestrian sports is not only a result of the team’s dedication and discipline but also reflects the high quality of training and professional competence within Haryana Police. I hope our athletes continue to perform excellently at the national level, further enhancing the pride of our state.”
The Tamil Nadu Police team also performed well, winning a total of seven medals, including two gold and five bronze, along with two rolling trophies. Notably, the Chennai City Police Mounted Unit secured one gold, five bronze, and one rolling trophy.
Additional Superintendent of Police Kunal Utham Shirode won a gold medal, while Head Constable Suganya from the Chennai City Police Mounted Unit earned one gold and two bronze medals. Head Constable Manikandan, horse handler Manivannan, and Assistant Karthik also contributed with bronze medals. Mr. Shirode received a special rolling trophy, and Ms. Suganya was awarded a rolling trophy for Best Lady Rider.
