Haryana Ensures No Shortage of Domestic LPG Supply, Assures Minister Rajesh Nagar

Chandigarh, March 24: Haryana’s Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Rajesh Nagar, assured citizens on Tuesday that there is no shortage of domestic LPG supply in the state, urging residents not to panic.

He stated that any irregularities related to LPG are being addressed promptly. The situation regarding LPG cylinders in the state is normal, and citizens can remain assured.

The minister emphasized that the government is taking strict action against black marketing and illegal use of LPG cylinders. So far, eight FIRs have been filed, 52 individuals have been implicated, and 825 cylinders have been seized.

He reiterated that the government adopts a zero-tolerance approach towards the black marketing and misuse of LPG cylinders.

Nagar clarified that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG in the state is completely normal. He warned that strict action will be taken against those spreading rumors, especially in the current tense environment in the Middle East.

A department spokesperson reported that out of the 825 seized domestic LPG cylinders, 131 were from Jhajjar, 109 from Mahendragarh, 86 from Ambala, 21 from Bhiwani, 2 from Faridabad, 71 from Fatehabad, 75 from Gurugram, 39 from Hisar, 17 from Jind, 10 from Kaithal, 44 from Karnal, 21 from Kurukshetra, 16 from Nuh, 23 from Panipat, 21 from Rewari, 98 from Rohtak, 12 from Sirsa, 12 from Sonipat, and 17 from Yamunanagar.

He mentioned that seven FIRs were registered in Faridabad and one in Sonipat, with three vehicles also seized during this operation.

The spokesperson further noted that in the past six days, oil marketing companies have supplied 61,034 domestic LPG cylinders (14.2 kg), and there are currently 982,212 domestic cylinders in stock at bottling plants.

Regarding commercial LPG, he stated that 848 commercial cylinders (19 kg) have been supplied in the last 25 days, with 179,566 cylinders currently in stock at bottling plants.

The department confirmed that the supply of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG is running smoothly across Haryana, with major oil companies—Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)—having sufficient stock available.
