Chandigarh, July 28: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has accused the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of compromising the future of the youth. He made these remarks on Tuesday, emphasizing that the Indian government is taking the paper leak issue very seriously.
CM Saini stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not only enacted laws to prevent paper leaks in 2024 but is also working to make them stricter to effectively prevent such incidents in the future.”
He criticized the opposition, claiming they lack any agenda other than opposing PM Modi and the BJP. Just two days ago, AAP leader Manish Sisodia confidently stated in a press conference that if any paper leak occurred in Punjab, their education minister would resign.
Saini remarked, “Today, as pharmacy exam papers have leaked in Punjab and students are protesting, Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal are comfortably silent in their air-conditioned rooms.”
He alleged that during Congress’s rule, youth were deprived of fair employment opportunities due to a “corruption system,” and paper leak incidents were common. He recalled that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi discussed this issue in the Lok Sabha in 1986, but no concrete laws were made to address it.
The Chief Minister noted that when the people of Punjab became disenchanted with Congress, Kejriwal won their trust by promising honest governance and formed the government. He pointed out that irregularities in the recruitment of excise inspectors in Punjab are well-known, yet the state government has taken no action.
CM Saini challenged Kejriwal to collaborate with the Punjab Chief Minister to release a white paper detailing how many underprivileged children in Delhi and Punjab have been assisted in becoming doctors, engineers, or Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers under their government.
In contrast, he highlighted that the Haryana government has enabled students in government schools to achieve their dreams through initiatives like ‘Mission Buniyaad’ and ‘Mission 100’ over the past 11 years, helping them qualify for IITs, IIMs, NET, and NEET.
In response to another question, the Chief Minister mentioned that PM Modi urged citizens to reduce diesel consumption by 20 percent. In line with this, the Haryana government has initiated several measures to promote electric vehicles (EVs), including 100 percent tax exemption on EV purchases up to ₹30 lakh and 50 percent tax exemption on EVs costing over ₹30 lakh.
He added that the state government is also developing charging infrastructure by establishing charging stations throughout Haryana.
