Preparations Underway for Annual Gangbal Yatra 2026 in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : The Deputy Commissioner of Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, conducted an on-site inspection at the Naranag temple on Saturday to oversee preparations for the upcoming annual Gangbal Yatra 2026. During the visit, he evaluated the ongoing work and the progress of various tasks assigned to different departments.

Kishore emphasized the importance of completing all preparations by September 15. He instructed officials to ensure that their assigned tasks are finished within the stipulated timeframe. The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted the need for adequate water supply, uninterrupted electricity with generator backup, and sufficient tents and toilet facilities for pilgrims.

In addition, he directed relevant agencies to maintain roads along the designated routes, manage traffic effectively, and ensure cleanliness and health services are in place. During the inspection, Kishore assessed the availability of essential facilities and instructed officials to address any shortcomings immediately. He stressed that all arrangements must be operational well before the pilgrimage begins.

Kishore called for improved coordination among all departments and agencies, urging officials to conduct regular field inspections. He reminded them to prioritize the safety, convenience, and welfare of the pilgrims while completing their assigned duties on time.
