Agra, July 21: Amid ongoing discussions across the nation regarding the proposed ‘Vande Mataram Bill‘, Haji Tahir Uddin Tahir, president of the Khuddam-e-Roza Taj Mahal Urs Committee, has expressed his support for the legislation. He stated that it is not only a citizen’s duty to adhere to their religious teachings but also to respect and follow the laws of the country they reside in.
He emphasized that if Parliament passes a law, it is the responsibility of all citizens to comply with it.
In an interview with a news agency, Haji Tahir Uddin Tahir remarked that there should be no objections to the ‘Vande Mataram Bill’. He specifically appealed to the Muslim community, stating that if they follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, there should be no reason to oppose such legislation. Islam teaches individuals to respect the laws of the country in addition to practicing their faith.
He further asserted that any bill should be welcomed. It is the government’s and Parliament’s prerogative to pass legislation, but once a law is enacted, it becomes the duty of every citizen to adhere to it. The teachings of Prophet Muhammad convey the message that individuals should honor both their religion and the laws of their nation.
Haji Tahir Uddin Tahir reiterated that if a law is implemented in the country, it should be supported. He stressed that in any democratic system, respect for the law is paramount, and all citizens must fulfill their duties within the framework of the Constitution and the law. Upholding the law is a crucial step towards strengthening social harmony and national unity.
