Gandhinagar, August 15: On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat hoisted the national flag at Lok Bhavan. He urged citizens to prioritize national interests and fulfill their social and national responsibilities with integrity, hard work, and a spirit of service.
While addressing the public, Devvrat called on people to contribute to the nation’s progress and collectively work towards realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Developed India.’
His appeal comes as the nation celebrates its 80th Independence Day. This year’s celebrations also highlighted the contributions of young Indians towards building a developed India by 2047.
In a patriotic atmosphere at Lok Bhavan, the Governor paid tribute to the immortal martyrs and countless freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and integrity.
Remembering their “unparalleled sacrifice, dedication, and valor,” Devvrat urged citizens to draw inspiration from those who fought for India’s freedom. He emphasized the need for everyone to prioritize national interests and diligently fulfill their social and national duties.
The Governor called for unity among citizens to contribute their best towards achieving the goal of a developed India.
In celebration of Independence Day, Devvrat also planted trees in the Lok Bhavan premises, promoting the message of environmental conservation and nature enhancement.
He extended his best wishes to the people of Gujarat and citizens across the country for the 80th Independence Day, wishing for peace, prosperity, and progress in the nation.
