
New Delhi, August 15: On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address, filled with the resolve for self-reliance, prosperity, and indigenous development, will serve as a milestone in the nation’s journey towards becoming a leading country in every sector.
In a post on the social media platform X, Shah highlighted that during his address, Prime Minister Modi provided a comprehensive roadmap for a developed India, emphasizing the spirit of ‘Nasha Mukta Bharat’ (Drug-Free India), ‘Surakshit Bharat’ (Safe India), and ‘Rashtra Pratham’ (Nation First). He noted the unprecedented advancements in semiconductors, critical minerals, energy, and railway transport over the past 12 years, and introduced the mantra of ‘Saptadhara’—seven powers aimed at elevating the country to new heights and achieving self-reliance across all sectors.
Shah also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi announced initiatives to empower the youth, including providing AI skills to over one crore young individuals within a year, establishing a network for free online coaching, and launching a talent hunt campaign for the 2036 Olympics. Additionally, he set ambitious targets such as achieving 100 gigawatts of nuclear power and establishing eight new semiconductor units by 2047.
