Mumbai, July 18: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made an unexpected stop in Ambali village, Anand district, while returning to Gandhinagar from an official event on Friday. He exited his vehicle to meet with school children and villagers who had gathered by the roadside.
While passing through Ambali village in the Anklav taluka, the Chief Minister noticed school children in uniforms waiting to greet him, prompting him to halt his convoy.
Disregarding formal protocols, he approached the children and spent time engaging in conversation. During their interaction, Patel inquired about the students’ education, encouraging them to remain committed to their studies and to work hard for success in life.
Later, he met with local villagers, asking if they were facing any difficulties, and reiterated the state government’s commitment to responsible public administration.
Addressing the parents present, the Chief Minister urged them to ensure that their children’s education is not hindered under any circumstances and encouraged them to continue supporting their children’s studies.
As he passed through the village, Patel noticed a biogas plant at a nearby home and visited its owner, farmer Vitthalbhai Parmar. He gathered information about the plant’s operation, its benefits, and its duration of use.
After their discussion, Parmar expressed his astonishment, stating, “We never imagined that the Chief Minister would stop his convoy to inquire about our well-being. This is a moment of immense joy and pride for us and the entire Ambali village.”
This visit occurred as the Chief Minister was returning to Gandhinagar after attending an official event in Vadodara. Patel participated in a virtual inauguration of four renovated railway stations in Gujarat under the ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the renovated stations in Pratap Nagar, Godhra, Porbandar, and Bhaktinagar from Jalandhar. Patel was present at the event held at Pratap Nagar railway station in Vadodara, where the station was dedicated to the public after renovations costing ₹71.58 crores. The upgrades include enhanced passenger facilities, improved accessibility, a new platform, lifts, a modern waiting area, and heritage-inspired architecture.
