Chandigarh, June 1: Central Minister SP Singh Baghel addressed concerns regarding the CBSE examination controversy and the NEET exam leak. He emphasized that examinations must be conducted with complete transparency. Baghel assured that investigations are ongoing and that those responsible will face imprisonment.
During a media interaction in Chandigarh, Baghel stated that examination results should not be affected, and the government is fully committed to conducting exams in a transparent and fair manner. Strict action will be taken against those involved.
Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, Baghel referenced Chanakya, who noted that when a ruler becomes very popular, alliances form based on the principle of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” He likened the India alliance to this, suggesting that such coalitions are formed before elections to avoid being swept away by PM Modi’s popularity. Once the wave subsides, he believes these alliances will dissolve.
Baghel condemned the recent attack on Abhishek Banerjee, stating that there is no place for violence in a democracy. He noted that Banerjee has faced consequences for his past actions, and Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has taken strict measures, leading to arrests and imprisonment of the culprits.
He expressed gratitude to the BJP Sports Cell and party president for the successful organization of the ‘Khelo Chandigarh Games.’ Over the past nine days, 12-13 sports events were held, with thousands of children participating.
Baghel remarked that a healthy body fosters a healthy mind, which is essential for building a strong nation. He highlighted that sports break down barriers of discrimination.
He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the first Prime Minister to promote the ‘Khelo India’ initiative. Baghel recalled the outdated mindset that emphasized academics over sports, stating that now, athletes can also achieve great success. He noted that where sports thrive, crime and substance abuse decline.
